Ambassador Lee Seong-ho visited the Tata Semiconductor OSAT facility in Jagiroad, Assam, on February 25 (Tuesday), where he inspected the site and held discussions with officials. Upon completion, the Assam OSAT facility will have the capacity to produce up to 48 million semiconductor chips per day, significantly bolstering India’s semiconductor manufacturing capabilities. Together with Tata’s Fab facility in Gujarat, the Assam plant is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening India’s semiconductor ecosystem and enhancing its position in the global semiconductor supply chain.
